The Man Who Wouldn't Die (AV Edition)
A tale of survival. [Flash Fiction #03] Audio/Video Edition
Now that The Chronicles of Samuel Carter Part One has concluded, it is time to revisit a story some of you may have read before. If so, I hope you will enjoy the AV edition, as well. The “Text only” version can be found here.
Initially, I wanted to do a fully animated video (Teaser Video), but I settled for audio with ambient sound instead at first and then went back and added visuals for the whole story. Which do you prefer? Audio or AV?
The full ebook containing all five episodes of Season One of TMWWD will be available for paid subscribers in January 2024.
For Christmas, paid subscribers will receive the first TFTD Flash Fiction Collection (12 stories) E-book and audiobook.
There are five more Flash Fiction pieces planned, six more Spherean articles, and we have seventeen weeks left until the end of the year. I better get to it!
The Text Version of The Man Who Wouldn’t Die can be found here:

Author’s Note
Sometime in 2017, it was April 17th, about tea time, I read an article on a 350 million-ton methane bubble trapped under arctic ice. Not a lot, given that the arctic permafrost alone holds an estimated 1700 billion metric tons of carbon, including methane and carbon dioxide.
I’m no expert on methane emission and its effects, but I can imagine one of those bubbles bursting and releasing that amount of gas all at once might be a bit of a downer. As a speculative fiction writer, such dystopian scenarios tickle my fancy.
On the other hand, reading about the IEA stating that methane emissions in 2022 remained stubbornly high is not much fun. Nor is looking at Methane ‘Super-Emitters’ mapped by NASA’s New Earth Space Mission.
Then there is Turkmenistan’s “Door to Hell,” a 70-meter wide crater that was formed as the result of a drilling accident in 1971. It has been burning natural gas ever since.

This was really excellent, Alexander and, as the other comments have mentioned, the audio was really atmospheric and added an extra layer to the story telling
Well done 👍🏼
Not only is the voiceover great, but the background noise adds another layer of immersion. Nice work!
