The Man Who Wouldn't Die (Teaser)

Flash Fiction #03

This time I am trying something different. No music. Ambient sound and the first line from the flash fiction piece narrated. I still need to set up everything correctly but didn’t want to wait. Recorded with a RODE NT-USB+ on my MacBook Pro, the Noise Gate helped filter out most of the noise from the street.

Let me know in the comments below if that is something I should do more often or even narrate the whole story (without effects). Thanks!

Background & Tagline

The story is inspired by a news article back in 2017. I went through my notes recently and felt it was time to flesh this out a little more.

A man sets out to find help for his family, gets lost in a snowstorm and stumbles upon an alien construct. Seeking shelter, he enters.

Your Feedback

I changed the TFTD intro/logo pixel colour from brown to green. If you compare it to the previous teasers, please let me know which one you prefer.

Also, after a month, I figured it would be great to check and see how I am doing. Do you want to see more craft posts, more fiction, or higher post frequency? Don’t like the video teasers? Any ideas for future articles? Want to do a collaboration or cross-post? Let me know!

THE PAWN
THE PAWN A chess piece. A mystery. An old house. The words echoed in his mind like hollow daggers darting for ideas that would suit the narrative. The Grand Design. It had to be witty. It had to be clever. With a surprise twist at the end, of course. It was no use. The daggers fell into a void, a black hole, a wordastrophy…

Future Now
I recently overheard a conversation about AI (no, not me, the other AI). I am sure countless conversations like this happen in many places with people who embrace it, fear it, don’t understand it, are indifferent to it or ignore it, bliss! It went like this: ChatGPT is so cool, it wrote a poem for my friend’s birthday (skip man reading a lengthy poem), C…
