Hello, I am Alexander Ipfelkofer

and this is Tales from the Defrag, a weekly speculative fiction newsletter.

Does Mystery, Murder and Mayhem with a dash of satire tickle your fancy? Then stay a while, and defrag your mind!

Every week, I post a new story, world-building, or lore on SPHEREAN, my work-in-progress dystopian novel set on Future Earth.

In addition, on the first Friday of each month, I post images from my photography archive along with a few words in the Foto Friday section.

SPHEREAN - A Dystopian Novel

The Spheres that protect the last of Earth’s civilisation are failing. Scientist Hein Sorenson has found the solution and gets entangled in a web of cybertheft, corruption, and murder that leads to the destruction of one of the Spheres. A race against time unfolds to ensure the survival of the human race.

Start here, for my podcast with friend and car designer Joe Reeve, on how we went from the page to the quantum levitation pod designs.

The Chronicles of Samuel Carter

One rainy Sunday morning, Doctor Samuel Carter answers a phone call that would change his life. Curious, he joins a secret expedition to Egypt to “find what no one else could,” only to stumble from one mishap into the next. Upon his return to London, not quite himself, his whole world starts to unravel.

Your adventure starts here. Join the expedition!

StoryVerse

Ever played Zork? Text adventures back in the day? StoryVerse is an Ode to that era. An adventure that unfolds 100 words at a time, giving you two choices. Will you find the Final Word? The Last Node?

The StoryVerse expands with you. Everyone can create, add nodes, and continue where the previous writer left off. Challenge the next player. Join the Quest for the ΩMEGA Node!

Foto Friday

Foto Friday is a monthly series in which I share images I have taken over the years, accompanied by a few words, a quote, a poem or a tune. Nothing too long or too short, just enough to appease the senses.
