Heh, great continuation. A slight change in style here, I feel, a little more lyrical and poetic and a sense of Carroll coming through, especially in the opening few lines. Bravo, my friend.

Fantastic artwork at the end, too.

Well spotted, a shift in prose, an exercise in alliterations and yes, a hint of Carroll, after all, we’re through the looking glass.

What, another animal turned fantastic beast turned rabbit? What’s Mr. Beaver 🦫 doing to them?

Mr Beaver is none the wiser, I think. So many layers!

Love the rhythmic language and parable-like quality. Great continuation!

Thank you, Kate. Yes to parable, it was born from an exercise in alliterations using the tea party scene .

A magically poetic little slice of Wonderland, Alexander. Hopefully you can bring us back through the looking glass again soon.

Think I might have spotted a homage to Monty Python and The Hobbit in there as well 🤔😁

Anyway, brilliantly done 👍🏼

Thanks Dan, and yes indeed, Tolkien and Python are recurring in many of my texts, a little something for readers to enjoy.

The beginning of this certainly has the alliterative bounce of Jabberwocky. Excellent continuation to the story!

Hah! Yes! Glad you said so. I watched Terry Gilliam's film again, too, to get into the mood.

Deliciously "icky, sickly and wicked". Full of lethal jabber jabs and jibber jives, clawing claws and beaky beaks. “You do things you don’t want to do for too long, you forget who you truly are. You become the very thing you detest." Ain't it the truth! I see it all around us. Outstanding, Ipfelkofer!
