Yes, indeed. It was a guest post on Nadia's whenhopewrites, which no longer exists, since she left Substack. I reposted it in a revised form here, resurrecting it from the nether. Thanks for reading (again), Nate!
"God will at last punish him severely..." At last? I, personally, am not a believer in gods or devils, but I have looked for a rational, definitive answer to the question, "If the Christian god is All-Powerful, why is evil allowed to exist? Are we just pawns in a cosmic game, then? If so, I do not choose to play. (Speaking only for myself here. Not judging others.) By the way, your Carter cover is terrific, but I can't see the difference between A and B.
Have I read this before? I just looked in the archive but couldn't see it. Maybe you sent me a draft at some point?
Anyway, I really like this exercise of rewriting something from another perspective. Excellent.

Ahh, of course, makes sense now.
Such a shame to see Nadia has left the platform (for now).
Yes, indeed. Maybe, she'll be back one day...

Thanks, Sharron, and in terms of "playing", I can only cite WarGames: The only way to win is not to play ;)
Re: Cover A has a dark red gradient running from bottom to top, and Cover B is entirely black. Glad you like it!
Yes,I see that now. I was reading from the email. I think it didn't look so different. Both covers are striking!
Thanks, Sharron!
That was such an interesting exercise. I'm going to have to look into that a little further.
Thanks, Ben! Yes, I thought so, too. It has been known to happen that a story suddenly becomes stronger due to a shift of POV. Experiment!
