Favorites? Well I'm quite loving your Foto Friday series very much... This might be in line with "my favorite cookie is the one that's in my mouth" policy, but seriously, beautiful work. 🍪📸👍
I've been getting back into film photography lately. I haven't shot on film since 2006ish... I decided I should teach my kids about how film works, I picked up a little half-frame point and shoot, Kodak Ektar h35, and a roll of ultramax 400, we had a blast with it. I just sent the roll to the lab the other day. Hopefully at least a couple pictures turn out, it's so overcast here this time of year. I also have a Pentax k1000 but I had to really clean it, and noticed all the foam is shot so I had to order a replacement kit. I really want to shoot with it but also light leaks suck, so I must have patience...
Thanks, Lisa! Yeah, I stopped shooting on film in 2009. Got my son an Instax, so at least he can experience using a viewfinder and carefully consider what 10 pictures he wants to take.
Need to buy some kind of film camera again, and develop the bw shots yourself. That film roll may have awesome surprises in stall for you, that's part of the beauty of shooting film! Patience is key. Post some shots when you get the roll back!
I'm not sure I have a favourite type of photograph. Perhaps nature/scenery over people/cities, but knowing very little of the intricacies of photographs, I'm open to all. So, keep feeding them this way each Friday.
Thanks, Nathan! We'll have minimalism and abstract and street and architecture and all that. Maybe some toy (photography) story even, we'll see. Hope you'll enjoy!
Two absolutely brilliant photographs, Alexander. That sky is stunning! Wow. Check out Joseph Wyman's work. < josephwymanphoto.com > He does fascinating "tintype" portraits. His subjects have depth and grit. Several have served as inspirations for my own fiction writing.
Select shots are printed on high-grade paper (40x30) for exhibitions and, you know, hang around the house, but it's too cost-prohibitive to print them all. All the ones for various Exhibitions are printed and framed, and some are up on walls here (there's one visible in my makeshift "recording booth" image on Notes), some sold and are with their new owners. I could put up a link to order prints, maybe. Was also thinking of giving a print away now and then, e.g. for x amount of referrals or something like that.
That is an incredible photograph, Alexander. Have you checked the skies around you since just to make sure that cloud spirit didn’t follow you home?! 😁
I do find the most magic in landscape or seascape but, as we noticed in one of your previous photos, mysteries can be found hiding in plain sight!
Thanks, Daniel! I have plenty more seascapes to come. Love taking those LE shots. I also did a fair share of cloudscapes but that particular one did not reappear since... phew! Also, if you have seen "Nope" you'll look at clouds differently ;)
Thanks, George. Yep. f/22, 33 sec exposure, ND10 filter (24-105mm f/4 L lens), here 70mm, no crop. I spent some time in Lightroom to develop it in black and white.
Yes! Decisive Moment... Street photography is near and dear to me, went to a HCB exhibition a few years back in Paris, I haven't really done a lot of street shots lately, though.

Thanks, Troy! And excellent cookie philosophy! Here's to many more delicious cookies, then! ;)

I will!
Looking forward to seeing them!
Stunning. (Again 😁) Spirits ahoy.

I look forward to seeing all the explorations of different types. Educate me! 😆
I merely aim to provide visual stimulus in the hopes it may appease the senses. 😅

Thank you, Sharron! Wow Wyman’s portraits are simply amazing! Thanks for the link. Love it.
Hell of a photo! Do you ever print these beauties or do you keep them all digital?

Ah, yes, the streetcar, I remember. The glowing eye! https://alexanderipfelkofer.substack.com/p/foto-friday-04-a-streetcar-named
Gorgeous.
Thanks, Patris. Much appreciated. Glad you enjoy it!
They’re incredible shots
Very kind of you to say. I'll add some bonus shots in the chat over the weekend.
Amazing shot; digital, right?

Great 👍. Do I prefer landscape or others, well photographing people is something special in my view

Decisive moment or some other approach
Indeed. Experiment and try new things.
