Thanks, Nate! Ah, yes, Jackie. Adrian is eager to find out, too. She disappeared at the end of Part 1. For some reason he is convinced she ain't ded. We shall find out soon.
Yep, that path, that chasm, such a great scene, don't you think?
Great that Carter is back and like Nathan I certainly got the Last Crusade vibes with the bridge
I’ve only been to Egypt once. We were holidaying in Cyprus and flew over. Did Cairo, the pyramids and then a Nile cruise. Think that was early 2000’s. Absolutely fascinating place and need to go back one of these days
Looking forward to the next chapter already so you better get it written 😁 👍🏼
Thanks, Dan. Egypt was indeed fascinating, more than any other country I visited thus far. We didn't make it to Cairo back then. Something for a future trip.
Wow week by week writing for live serialisation. You and Nathan both. I’d be too scared to do that!
So great, Alexander. Again you have the dialogue of a skilled screenwriter mixed with the layers of imagery and metaphysical inquiry I really enjoy. I love the time note at the top and think I would enjoy even more of your musings on time blended in the narration.
Thanks, Kate. Yeah, it's risky. Who knows what's going to happen... in essence these are draft zeroes, proofread and marginally edited. Once part 3 is finished, I ought to go back and edit all parts together into one piece... should be interesting!
I would suspect, Carter will be musing on time and space and meaning as he nears his final test.
Happy to be reading Carter again! That was exciting. I too cannot wait to know who it is that is following them (or what?!). Also, Theo is a pacifist who can kill a man in myriad of ways? What a funny contradiction!
I loved the description of Thorne, as ".... well-read, hater of guns, lover of sushi, who could kill a man in nine ways, pacifist..." My kind of guy! But frankly , you had me at Samuel in a polka-dot dress. Thanks for this crazy new episode. Alexander. It was waiting for!
Hooray to be back to Carter and all his adventures!!
A thrilling instalment. Lots of info.
But remind me (because it has been a while, and I know I could go back and check), what happened to Jackie? She's gone, right? Somewhere...?
Also, I got distinct Herr Jones vibes here: Samuel crossed on a narrow path spanning the chasm, invisible from above, a clever optical illusion. 😄

I went back and found and reread the conclusion to Part 1 :)
Good to know we'll find out soon.
Yes, iconic scene!
Only 6 chapters to go. We better!
“An entropy of liquid silver in the moonlight”
That’s a great line in a great story, Alexander

I shall get back to writing, then. ;)
I totally forgot to flag that line too, it was absolutely my favourite! 👏

Thanks, Nadia! We’re on the final stretch. And yes, Theo can but does he? 😅

Thanks, Sharron. Soon time to change wardrobe!
