Another wild, wild ride to culminate part 2! Fantastic, Alexander. This had real pace and imagery and really made me think this would work so well as a graphic novel.
You manage to keep the humour throughout, too
I chuckled at this:
“I’m more of a triangle guy,” said the professor.

But then you shift to such descriptive prose as this. Bravo!
A chant came from behind him, and as he turned, the scene changed, and he felt the sting of icy air on his skin. Chanting men in fur kneeled, an ox, nostrils flared, axe cleaved through the neck, an offering, bleeding out into the snow, and again all faded, and he was alone, grey stone walls, dim shafts of light falling in from above, the air smelled of clay.
Thanks much, Nathan. Great to hear the triangle line worked! After all, they are three. Ahh graphic novel, would love that. Need to network with some artists methinks!
The sensory details just POP. 💥 Makes this so immersive!
Your dialogue is also interesting, personable and intriguing. It reads to me almost like a script (in a good way!) because it's as if you've set this really rich scene and then you're giving us a drama to play within it. Am I making sense? Thanks as always for this work.
Thanks, Kate! Yes, it does read like a script, doesn't it, like in a screenplay, we see the scene playing out, and there are scene headers followed by bits of dialogue. Only would need to switch everything to the present tense...
Your latest installment was a captivating read as always! The blend of elements in your narrative reminded me of the adventurous spirit of Indiana Jones, coupled with the Sci-fi mysteriousness and otherworldly aspects of Stargate.
Thanks, David. You got the exact vibes I was aiming for. Carter is my little homage to Indy and Stargate! Part Three will continue after a short break.

Help! Somebody please! Bring me my defibrillator!
Too much excitement! Well, Carter takes a break until March. Time to recover! ;)
Phew! Oxygen! I need my oxygen tank...

This chapter makes me get Indy mixed in with Holmes vibes. Super fun and suspenseful! Part trois can't get here fast enough!
Thanks, Nadia. It will come soon! End of Feb! It's going to be a wild ride.
Yeehaw! I got my pony ready!
Me, too.
Haha! :D
