The Woman on the Stairs

You try to figure out what to write. The image of the woman is looming above your screen. Why is she hesitating? Why are you? A police car speeds by, sirens blaring. You frown. The rain intensifies. You turn to look out the window and spill your coffee. Cursing, you get a towel to clean the mess and make a fresh pot.

Ready to write you again hesitate.
